Michael Fastenberg, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Fastenberg is a native of Long Island. He went to Jericho High School and attended Harvard University’s summer program. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University (cum laude). After living and working in various places around the world he returned to Long Island to pursue a career in medicine. He graduated from the Stony Brook School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha). He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY and completed his dermatology residency at The University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. His interest in infectious diseases led him to Sao Paulo, Brazil for an international elective.
Dr. Fastenberg returned to Long Island where he now resides with his wife and three children. He has performed research in biochemistry, cell biology and dermatology, has been published in peer reviewed journals and has presented at local and national meetings. Dr. Fastenberg specializes in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology and has developed an interest in cosmetic dermatology performing botox injections, fillers and laser procedures as well. He is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is on faculty at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, NY.
